Gold Exploration in MEXICO: The Huizopa Project is located in the Sierra Madres in Chihuahua, Mexico - a silver-gold district which is recognized as one of the prolific gold mining regions in the world and has historically produced over 40 million ounces of gold and 2 billion ounces of silver. The Huizopa project is located between Alamos Gold's Mulatos gold-silver project and the Minefinder's Dolores project. Apollo’s property package consists of 170 sq. km to date and the Company has conducted aerial surveys, mapping, geochemical sampling and geophysical surveys which identified three primary geological drill targets. In February 2008 the Company commenced a 30 to 40 hole core drilling program and to date has completd 12 holes.

The initial plan is to complete 30 to 40 core holes totaling approximately 4,000 meters of drilling with helicopter assistance and we expect this to be completed in April 2008. Our targets have excellent potential for both high grade mineralization and broad vein/stockwork mineralization as well as one very large, new surface, gold - silver target. Our contractor Falcon Drilling, specializes in helicopter supported drilling programs at remote exploration sites and has seasoned drilling personnel with experience in Canada and Mexico, as well as Central and South America. In the second quarter of 2008 we hope to commence the construction of a road to enable us to road transport both a core rig and a reverse circular rig so as to expand our drilling program.

Land Package and Geology - Huizopa encompasses a block of mining concession claims of approximately 170 Sq. Km. . While no mining has taken place at Huizopa since small scale operations ceased in 1936, initial favorable geochemical sampling and field studies were completed in 2003 and confirmed by Apollo Gold in 2004. The Huizopa area was mined from the late 1890’s through the 1930’s using small-scale operations. There has been no significant mining activity since then. The geology is characterized by a series of parallel, low sulfidation gold-silver, quartz veins hosted by Tertiary- age volcanic rocks. Silver to gold ratios in the veins and from the material on historic mine dumps indicate the Huizopa area hosts an extensive gold-bearing hydrothermal system. Two major parallel quartz vein systems with north trending structures contain many single vein outcrops 7 to 10 meters thick, suggesting a series of stacked veins. Strike lengths are over 2.0 km on the property with untested down dip potential.

With our land package of 170 sq. km., Huizopa has the potential to represent not just a single project but also a mining district. Apollo Gold believes the Huizopa area has the potential for high-grade ore zones as well as broad vein/stockwork mineralization amenable to open pit mining as well as underground mining. Current exploration work (geological mapping, sampling, and geophysical studies) continues.
